An idea that would have been too much

So yesterday I mentioned buying 2 new Funky Fingers, well here is #2. This is called Sand and Stilettos, I <3 this name!!! Thinking this was going to be semi sheer like Golden Coast, I first used a base of Sinful's Black on Black. To my surprise, it was really almost opaque in 1 coat! Then I had this idea I wanted to do, since I had some fimo butterflies with me, but after I did the scotch tape design, I thought it would have been too much. So I just left it as is, and on my lunch break, will attempt my idea with other colors :)

I started with my black

Then added 1 coat of Sand and Stilettos

then half ass attempted my idea, lol, but here is a sneak peak, or idea, for tomorrows mani :)  I again used my black for the design & scotch tape.

Umm...Not how I pictured in my head

Okay, so not all my ideas are great, lol. If only you guys could see in my head, the way this was supposed to turn out! Anyways, this is the idea that I didn't finish on my previous post, because I thought with the glitter it would have been too much. Well I just don't like it with the butterfly. Oh well.  For this I used Sinful's Black on Black and Confetti Debutante.

Once again, I started with my black

Then this is how I cut my tape. I didn't want perfectly straight lines, so I did this.

with all my nails taped, polished then a coat of SV on.

now this is the wheel of butterfly fimos that I ordered off of eBay
and finally with a cute butterfly. I am just not feeling the look of this, and had it pictured different in my head.

St. Patty Patchwork

Okay, so I'll take a break from the Crackles *sigh* lol. Well since St. Patricks Day is coming up, isn't it, and I have a brand new St. Patty's Day polish from Five Below, I figured I should do a green Patchwork mani. For this I used OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, Funky Fingers Erin & Sinful Black on Black.

I started with 3 coats of Gargantuan Green Grape, 3, yep you heard right 3 freaking coats, man I forgot how much of a PITA this was. Oh well.

Then I taped them off, and added the Funky Fingers Erin. Such a pretty sparkly green, which I can say, I don't own anything like it. I then added a coat of SV.

For my final color, I added my fave go to black from Sinful. and another coat of SV

I am loving this soooo much!!!! If you are looking for a How-To on this, I have one posted up above in my 'Tutorials' tab.

Golden Fingers

Last week when I ran to Five Below, I love that place, I saw there were 2 new holo glitter polishes, so of course, they came home with me. Well, I finally decided to use them. This one, Golden Coast, I decided needed a base, so I used 2 coats of Confetti's Debutante first, and then added Golden Coast. I am soooo very pleased with this gold, although nothing compares to China Glaze Medallion, this might be a close 2nd.  Then I added Sinful's Black on Black for the tips :)

Here is Debutante alone

Then Golden Coast on top

a little blurry so you can see the holo goodness :)

and finally one of my fave things to do, the black tips

Gold & Navy.............

Good morning everyone! If you missed my post last night, please make sure to read it.
Okay as you can see I decided to keep my watermark semi small, and hopefully not to annoying :) Some pics have 2, only because they were already ready to be posted, but only the middle one will be there after this post.

Anyways, I wanted to use some gold glitter, and had to reach for my China Glaze Medallion. It is by far my fave gold glitter in the world, and very hard to capture it's beauty on camera. Since I have also been on a semi matte kick, I decided to use my Claire's Matte Cobalt polish. I also just love navy and gold together :)

I started with 2 coats of Cobalt Blue

Then using tape, taped off half of my nail, and added Medallion

I then added a top coat to remove the roughness and so I don't remove layers of skin, since I tend to be accident prone.

Another Simple Valentines Funky French

I did a similar look, but instead of pink and reds, I used neons. Well, I loved it so much, I wanted to do a V-Day version. For this I used the brand 10, #415 - Pinky Promise for my base, Sally Hansen Rapid Red and Sally Hansen Pronto Pink on the tips as well as Sinful's Black on Black.

Polkie Dots with a Kick!

Yep, I said 'Polkie', lol. Now as you all know, I love polka dots, purple, scotch tape and matte manis, so why not do a mani, that has it all!!!! Here is the mani I did. I used Ulta Cocktails Anyone?, Sally Hansen Slick Slate and Essie Matte About You. I know I'm holding China Glaze's Matte Magic in the last pics, but when I was taking these pictures, that was on the end table, and to be honest, my butt was too lazy to get back up and grab the Essie, lol. Hey....I was tired and comfy, lol.

I started with 2 coats of Cocktails Anyone?

Then I did the polka dots with Sally Hansen Slick Slate and a Bundle Monster Plate

next I taped off half the mani, diagonally, and used Slick Slate again

Then for fun, I re-taped my nails, and added Essie Matte About You :)
